2012 Spring Bar-B-Que

Yes, we had the Placer County Sheriffs Department at the event. Since I was in my Storm Trooper they wanted me to show the audience how there Partner officers work. I CAN TELL YOU THIS..... I WAS SCARED! When the Police officer hit me, it was like a Mac Truck... you can see the whole thing on YouTube, under "Police Dog Attacks Storm Trooper" or for a better video click below.... which is also on You Tube.

Optical Transmitter/Reciever System

Takes and Audio signal and modulates it onto a Helium-Neon Laser

the modulated optical signal is then transmitted through "Free Space" to an optical receiver.

The optical receiver uses a photo-transistor to decode/de-modulate the optical signal.

the de-modulated signal is then processed through a linear amplifier and outputted to a speaker...

In other words, it takes a digital signal, breaks it down to data, then that data travels on the laser to a receiver that collects it and then puts the data back together to come out of a speaker.
